Is an off white dress w/black beading inappropriate for a company Christmas party? - off white forum,s

I have a beautiful white dress that all the accounts of black bear on a semi-formal Xmas Party imagination. It is very vintage looking. It is only below the knee. This is a bad color to wear white in winter? My plan is to bring a black pashmina with me, so if I'm cold and cause. Ideas?
