Fish Sticks Stream Fishing In Yosemite?

Fishing in yosemite? - fish sticks stream

i dont think i need a license, because I am under 18, but I need advice on fishing. I'll be camping in Yosemite and finally stream / fishing is in flux. I have a rod ugly stick fishing tackle some random, but I need something to guarantee that the catch. is open (I forgot what their names are, but the strings are not included.) I have an experience in fishing for mackerel in saltwater.

In the current next week (July) and really need advice on bait to buy, etc. .. i dont care what i catch fish, if I can get something (I can not go fishing all day) thank you!

If you are 16 years or more, you need a license in California.

Fishing in the vicinity of the park campsites in Yosemite can be difficult - no facilities in the park. If you are coming from the east, the lakes at the edge of the entry stored and never had any problems, some fish to get there. Or, if you hike in the countryside are some lakes a few miles of fish very well.

Get Open Face Spinning equipment - you can get a stick (and roll combo) for under $ 30 in most sports shops. They want a 6 to 7 feet long made in line 4 a pound. The trout are not safe (compared to marine fish such as mackerel), so you do not need a solid rod A face-to-reel, small lures or bait cast over a closed face role.

I fish almost exclusively with bait for trout (trout is the only fish that is capable of in Yosemite) are - on the lakes, you want something that can deliver a long way to Kastmaster (1 / 4 ounces or less) the streams I prefer spinners, Mepps 0 or 1, or a pantherMartin or Roostertail. Cast upstream and retrieve only faster than the current (sufficiently provided for spinning) - with a trout stream from their upstream feed, then do a better casting up and down. In lakes, experimenting with different depths, and again the rights, until you see what works.

The local use as bait - worms, salmon eggs, the lure of power, or whatever. Also in the rivers downstream and let the current move. Use enough weight to throw - to do a small splitshot. If you have too much weight, he stays on the ground.
