Homemade Electronics Hardware For Controlling Electronics Through Computer.?

Hardware for controlling electronics through computer.? - homemade electronics

I intend to create a homemade remote-controlled car. My plan is to have a laptop in the car, so it can keep things under control. The operator is a different computer, use the command to send the laptop via a wireless connection.

But my question is: what is the name of the computer-controlled equipment through the e-mail? Everything I need is to open / close circuit 2-5 in the application. If anyone any price, is well aware it would be useful. And it would connect via USB?

In the old days, you can send the RS-232 instruction set. However, it is now impossible to find laptops with RS-232.

You can you have a USB-RS-232 function and then the commands sent from this port.
